Delete your account
We're sorry to see you go. If you'd like to delete your Essence account, this page explains what happens to your data and how to submit a request.
What gets deleted
Once your request is processed, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your account profile and login credentials
- Focus session history and stats
- Polaroid memories and photos
- Pearls, shells, and all collectibles
- Essence Plans and progress
- Tags, preferences, and app settings
What may be retained
We may retain certain records for a limited period as required by law:
- Purchase and transaction records — retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance
- Anonymized, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to your account
How to request deletion
Send an email to hello@essenceapp.cc with the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include:
- The email address associated with your Essence account
- A brief reason for leaving (optional — but it helps us improve)
Processing time: All deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You'll receive a confirmation email once your data has been removed.
